Lisa Andersson is the Director of Development and Communications at Karis Community, a therapeutic community for adults (21 years or older) recovering from serious and persistent mental illness. Lisa has worked in a Development role for 15+ years.
Lisa graduated from DePauw University with a B.A. in Education and San Francisco State University with an M.A. in Special Education. After many years of teaching, she found a new career in fundraising and has found her calling supporting mental health.
Lisa was born and raised in Sweden, moving to the U.S. at the age of 12. She has lived in Denver for the past 12 1/2 years. Lisa's greatest joys in life are chocolate and her rescue dog Kylie.
Fun fact: I am a supertaster.
A supertaster is a person who experiences the sense of taste with far greater intensity than the average person. Some studies show increased sensitivity to bitter tastes (like coffee - yuck). You can Google this if you don't believe me. ;-)
