Happy Friday!

Spent all week packing, cleaning and moving large pieces of furniture around and around and around and around...

Long way of saying that I am now devoid of brain. Accompanying the cool things this week are my one-word reactions. (That’s all I got in me) Be back with more thoughts next Friday!

Here are some things I found interesting, inspiring and just plain cool this week…

LOL!

On serviceberries: “While its origins may be apocryphal, legend holds that the “service” is as in burial services for your dead. It was said that when the serviceberry bloomed, it was a sign the ground had thawed enough for graves to be dug to the proper depth and/or conditions had improved enough for circuit preachers to reach into deepwoods settlements to hold church services.”

“Grocery store prices are changing faster than ever before — literally… Electronic shelf labels… allow employees to change prices as often as every ten seconds.”

Curious...

“What if music were treated not just as background to your food, but as an ingredient?”

Hopeful

In Wisconsin, some schools are not only growing their own food, but also harvesting and serving it the same day.

PRIDE!

LGBTQ+ bars “were a public place where gay people could meet and start to have a conversation, where they didn't feel like sexual freaks or somehow not part of the larger social fabric. From that came culture, politics, [and] demands for equal rights."
