We envision a community in which food is the bridge between history, cultures, and individual stories
to inspire curiosity, creativity, and community with
food, history, and culture
First we eat, then we do everything else.
The Museum of Food and Culture is the first and only museum using food to build connections to history, culture, and each other.
We are a place where people can have a variety of experiences from cooking to gardening, tasting foods of other cultures to creating art, and from learning history to sharing pop culture. Together, we create a space where people can share and explore the stories of the world and each other.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Fun with Food and Your Senses had the perfect mix of activities that were both educational and fun. I had not yet started naming different senses with my daughter and she caught right on, especially to the difference between sweet and sour, and giggled thru the “tastings”.
We will definitely participate in future programs!
