our programs
MFC offers a variety of programs for kids, adults, and families who are interested in exploring curiosity and creativity through food. This year, we are launching the CrafTEA program which focuses on creative inspiration and art.
Let us know what you think. We would love to hear suggestions or about your favorite events!
Creativity

Let’s face it—making art is fun, but add cool people and delicious tea? Well, that is even more fun! Each month we pick a different theme and then explore the theme in an (informal) meetup and a workshop. CrafTEA events focus on food and creativity and we know that everyone can be creative.
Come sip tea and create something new!

Colorado State University:
Street Eats Research Project

What we eat (or don't eat) says a lot about who we are. In spring 2022, we worked with Colorado State University's undergraduate hospitality students to research convenience foods - from street food to gas stations - across the globe.
Stay tuned for the virtual exhibit!

Restaurant Love Letters

Restaurant Love Letters was a month-long program in 2021 celebrating community restaurants and food workers.
The restaurant industry was hit particularly hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Our program featured opportunities to share stories about comfort, loss, community, and restaurant experiences on social media and through chalk art.
Created in partnership with Lighthouse Writers Workshop and South Pearl Street.

Food & Your Senses

From buttery popcorn to sour lemons, food engages all of our senses. In a virtual variety hour, we played with our senses and learned more about flavor and taste.
Co-created with the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.
Curiosity
Apples: Hearth & Harvest

In November 2020, we launched our first program focused on one the core fruits in American food identity: apples. From mythology to baking, we explored how apples show up in our history and culture.
